So to start off I just want to say
that I’m doing better. My first week here was rough but this week was better. I
guess I’m getting used to walking and sweating all day lol so that’s good. The
food here kind of sucks too lol I just want normal Mexican food. On Friday we
had a zone meeting in Palenque so of course we had to wake up at 3 am. My first
zone meeting was pretty fun. During that time they told my companion that his
converts from over a year ago were getting sealed in the temple on Saturday and
that they really wanted him to go. Since the zone meeting ended late we didn’t
have time to go back to el Triunfo so please guess who had to wear the same
clothes 2 days in a row (inserts emoji lol) yeah I know tell me about it. Well,
overall the stay in Villahermosa was nice because we stayed in a house with
A/C!!! You guys have no idea how rare it is to find a house with A/C. It’s kind
of like seeing a Bugatti in Arizona. On Saturday we were at the temple allll
day. It ended like at 4pm and a brother that was traveling to el Triunfo
offered to take us. He was a crazzzzzy driver and on the way there of course we
flipped. Yes yes everyone please don’t freak out we are okay. That’s the reason
for the title but in reality nothing happened to us. Well Brother Romay and his
wife were bleeding from their knees but we were protected because we are
missionaries. I know the title sounds like I’m exaggerating and I agree it’s
just that I used to like a show called "I shouldn’t be alive" lol.
Everyone had their seat belts on so that was good. Some nice people stopped and
offered to take us to el Triunfo which was really nice of them. Whenever we got
there we were walking and some guy came up to us and told us that he was with
the devil and that he could heal us. He had these weird chains and sticks lol
it was pretty creepy. Brother Romay just told him that we were with God and he
said something about Mormons then left haha. It was pretty intense. Well that’s
pretty much it. I wish I could send pics but the internet here is literally
like having a T-Mobile phone in Tonopah, in other words, useless. It would take
hours to send 3 pics. I’ll try my best. Alright well I’ll talk to guys next
week.
Oh yeah today I finally ate beans
and rice for the first time in exactly almost a month. <the food here kind
of sucks.
Everyone never forget to wear your seatbelts.
It saves lives.
