December & still hot LOL

So we are only 25 days away from Christmas! Woohoo!! It's such a nice holiday and I'm so excited although I'm not gonna be able to be home. So here in Tabasco I'm still in short sleeves sweating every day, but it's okay. I'm enjoying it!

This week was great! My companion and I worked really hard. Ruben ended up getting baptized and it was such a great day. On Thursday we also had a Zone conference and literally practiced all the lessons for 4 hours. It was actually really fun! We have transfers this Monday coming up, so I might have a new companion next week. I'm sorry, but my time is up. I was too busy at Walmart today so I had less time to write, but hey I love Walmart.

Bye. I hope everyone has a great week.!!

I'm BACKKKKKKK!

Wow, it's been like 1536437 years since I've updated this! I apologize, but this mission life is not easy lol Well, I'm currently in Pomoca, Tabasco. The best news ever is that we are only 20 minutes from a Walmart!! I went 2 weeks ago and it was a pretty good day! It felt like I was home for a second which was awesome. The second best thing is that a member has a taqueria and he invites us to eat every time we are hungry. That bad thing is that he doesn't have quesadillas, but he has Gringas!!!! Even better, right!!! No no, not those kind of Gringas lol. So, A Gringa here is a tortilla de harina, cheese and carne asada! They are wonderful!! I'm making up for all the other times I didn't eat as well in my last area. Overall, Pomoca is great!

I'm also District Leader here! It just means that I have a District (basically 4 companionships I have to help). The weird thing is that the president’s assistants are in my District so they are helping me out lol it’s a little more stress because I have to prepare a class every week, but it's not too bad. I'm so thankful for the opportunity that is going to help me grow as a person. I am giving it my all!

I have been working hard with my compañero, Elder Aguirre! He is from Mexico City and is only 1 transfer (6 weeks) younger than me. We have a baptism for this week and hope for next week as well. We also have transfers in 2 weeks so I'm guessing they are going to move him. He has been here for 4 months already.

I am enjoying my mission so much. This week we had a conference with President and Sister Morales. They are great motivators and talk to us with the spirit. They really made me thing about my purpose as a missionary. I started changing my teachings so I can help more people. Okay well this is it, I will update you guys next week! Bye

One more day, One more area!

Heyyyyyy everyone! I hope everyone has been having a good day! This past week I had the opportunity to do some divisions with the district leader in Candelaria which is in the state of Campeche. It was a really good day because it's always nice to be able to explore other areas. The combi ride from El Triunfo to there is really nice!! It's 55 minutes of just cool views, although I usually use that time wisely to take a nap. Some people say that there are cougars and pumas there so that's pretty sweet!

Oh yeah, you guys are probably wondering about my title, well I'm officially out of el Triunfo !! Although I sound super excited, I will miss that town. It was a nice place but I'm ready to be in a new area. I'm 40 minutes from Villahermosa and 5 hours from El Triunfo. It's a place called Pomoca. It'sa huge area but it seems pretty nice and quiet. My new compañero has 3 months in his mission. He's from Mexico City!

Well I have to go, I'll talk to you guys later! Have a nice week everyone

4 Months In "El Triunfo”

So I have officially been here in el Triunfo for more than 100 days. Please people take a moment and think about how I must feel walking in a place 1/4 the size of flagstaff EVERYDAY!! Haha yeah it's starting to feel like a routine. The good news is that we have transfers in 2 weeks! The bad news is that no one knows if I'm going to stay or leave. We will have to see in 2 weeks, so stay tuned! Lol

I'm also sorry for not posting weekly, but tbh this blog life is not easy. Sometimes not a lot of interesting things happen so there isn't much to write about haha. I promise I will try my best to post every week. So another thing that hasn't changed since I got here, other than not being able to take naps :( is the weather. It feels as hot as it did in June. They say that it should start getting better by December.

These past 4 weeks I actually enjoyed being with Elder Velazquez. We get to talk English every day, all day, well except whenever we are walking by some people. We don't want them to think that we might be talking about them. He's a cool dude, I mean Elder haha. Well Idk what else to say. I hope you guys have a great week. Bye

“Gooooood Afternooon to the best family on my blog”-FouseyTube

Yeah as you can see I kind of miss YouTube lol but it's alright. It feels good knowing that I can actually survive without a phone and social media. Talking about phones, I actually get to carry one. Since I became senior companion they gave me this old rusty 1820 Nokia Phone. It's nice because I get to talk to the members from our branch haha jk its kind of useless lol.
This week was fun. Although most of our appointments fell through, we were able to find 5 new investigators. They look like they really want to change their lives so that's a good sign. Throughout this week I asked myself why so many appointments would fall? I'm 100% obedient so why aren't we having success? I realized that I shouldn't stress out because this is the Lords mission. I'm serving his mission so he has everything planned out. Success isn't measured by how many lessons we taught! This week I was thinking a lot about this and I took this more about a life lesson. It taught me that no matter how hard you work, sometimes it´s not going to turn out how you expect it. It also doesn't mean that you should just give up. We will continue to work because I know the lord is preparing his children. I am learning a lot so by the time I am transferred to another area I will be a beast lol!

We walked alooooot this week! Although "El Triunfo" is small, it can feel huge if you walk the same streets over and over and over again for 9 hours every day.
It's nice having a companion that knows English. I get to talk in English and Spanish all day. We can also talk about how we miss Walmart and target lol. Yeah, our area is so small we only have a "Monterrey". It's basically 1/3 the size of a dollar tree. It´s cool though, it´s actually fun shopping in Mexico. Well I hope you guys have an awesome week. You know, will be out here putting in work like always. I´ll talk to you guys later!
